Favorite Vanilla Scents
Hello! These were my signature vanilla scents. Sadly, I’ve exhausted out all my stocks and I’m currently looking for a supplier since I can’t find them in any retail stores in the Philippines. My previous stocks were last season gifts by my aunts from the States. While my mom was able to chance upon the Jessica Simpson Fancy (my favorite of the three) at a perfume stall in one of our local malls and gave it to me as a gift last November of 2009. It’s pretty elusive to look for it anywhere now. :( I miss wearing them. Hope I’ll find suppliers of authentic products at least online. O_O

Victoria’s Secret Vanilla Lace Body Mist was the first one I’ve had and I’ve loved it since second year in high school. This one smelled really good and light. The particular scent when worn made me feel like all ladylike yet mature. I think it really fits my personality (when I’m not on my silly childish mood, that is).

Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Splash didn’t smell far off from Vanilla Lace. The difference is that it is less floral, with of course, as the label says, a hint of warm sugar. The problem is that it really is warm to wear, sometimes sticky, and it has this burnt sugar after-scent. I would not prefer to wear this on humid weather. But anything vanilla, for me, is love. :)

Jessica Simpson Fancy Eu de Parfum is by far, my favorite! Too bad it’s really hard to find. Say hello to the scent of sweet oriental vanilla. Three to four spritzes would be enough since it’s eu de parfum (the previous two were eu de toilette), and it doesn’t leave a warm sticky feel on my body (the scent sticks to my clothes though, like forever?). I really love this oriental vanilla scent because it gives me a really dainty feeling of being a sweet and kind girl, plus I love how people comment that I smell fragrant and unforgettable. I hope I get to have my hands on it again. Oh, how I really miss this.
I miss my legs. :O Once, I tripped on the way to school so apparently, I have unsightly skin discolorations over them now.
Because Liu Yi Fei (Crystal Liu) is my all time favorite personality, I’m going to show more love for her here. :) Here is Liu Yi Fei as Song Xiao Qing for Love in Disguise, playing the guhzeng as a musical student devoted to traditional Chinese music.
Today, I was able to watch Liu Yi Fei and Wang Lee Hom’s romantic comedy movie, Love in Disguise. The story is about a famous pop music artist who disguised as a commoner to seek his musical inspiration and soulmate but eventually fell in love with her. Featured in the movie is a beautiful song by Wang Lee Hom himself, “All the things unknown to you”. It very well fits the theme of the story. I love the lyrics as well. The feelings it portray are soulful and humane. The message was clear yet the words are ambiguous, all in all it showed that love, be it the right or wrong time, be one successful or not, is not about finding your happiness in life, but wanting to end the tears of one person. Love is not stable, but it requires renewal, and reconciliation with hurt that one has experienced, to keep loving again.
“How many times does a butterfly blink, before it learns to fly?
Stars are sprinkled all over the sky, but how many of them will last?
As I was hovering in the sky, you landed.
You were already so close that I could hear you breathing.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to keep hold of you.
It was unknown to you why I had left
I could not be deaf to your cries
Your tears, like rain that blessed the earth
cleansed my heart thoroughly
It was unknown to you why I disappeared
While I was hovering over the sky
You could not see me watching over you
All these was unknown to you.”
Last season photos from a family friend’s debut. I just discovered how big peepers look splendid for formal events. I do not wear contact lenses on a daily basis though. ^_^
I did my own hair and make-up except the overlying eye shadow color and false eyelashes which was taken care of by my sister.
I loved the Korean drama and novel series, Baker King Kim Tak Gu. :D
The story was about Kim Tak Gu who is a prodigy at breadmaking aided solely by his incredible sense of smell. But more than that, the story that started it all is actually very deep. I loved how the story showed that good people will be triumphant no matter how many times oppressors fame them. And how one like Kim Tak Gu could still smile and live virtuously despite that he had lost everything and gone through all imaginable hardships even at the age of 12.
I am astounded and moved by President Il Jong’s deep connection to Tak Gu as his son, though I really wish he could show more warmth and concern towards his other children… Anyway, I’m glad a lot of people support Tak Gu be it in the bakery or the company.
It was great too how there is an accompanying love story and they gave a twist at who will end up together.

I admit Kim Tak Gu and Shin Yu Kyung really looked good together. They make each other smile, and they dated like normal couples do. :) I admire Tak Gu’s kindness and strength to stay smiling despite that Yu Kyung left him for another guy (unknowingly to him Ma Jun and Yu Kyung used each other for revenge). It amazes me how someone could wish happiness for his love even if it means they won’t be together. I find it a loss because he should have known that he is wishing her happiness but she is not happy at all. Their story sounds cliche but it interests me since I never had a lost childhood friend who I would have took that special. Usually in Korean shows, childhood friends end up together, but not in this story.

But eventually, I came to like Ma Jun and Yu Kyung together, and I found them best for each other. Yu Kyung is a little hard on Ma Jun while Ma Jun expresses strength at wanting her despite that he doesn’t let these expressions surface, well, he is a sad person. I like how they fought to stay together despite the closed opportunity of mutual feelings. Sometimes people do things they are not sure of, they just do it because their feelings, though not admitted, tell them to.

Of all the pairings I could relate to, it would be that of Mi Sun and Tak Gu. The manifestations are simple but are essential to fill one’s soul, just as bread fills one’s gut. Caring, support, and concern, I believe those are the most important aspects of love. Their relationship is light and cute too. So I think Mi Sun is best for Tak Gu, also because she was like his mother in shaping his beliefs and values.
The character sketches are also very exceptional. My favorite character would be Ja Kyung since she does not take sides, she’s a master of her own. And she has good principles towards being a strong woman. She also does not immediately take what one says and she also is not one to judge prejudiciously, that’s what a model woman is, for me. :)

But then, I also like Seo Tae Jo’s smile (who is Ma Jun’s alter ego in the bakery). This is what I call rare. ^_^

Awwes, I still have to watch the last episode. O_O
The 26th of April
Last night, I was invited by my partner Edward’s family and relatives for the blessing and celebration of their newly furnished suite at Magnolia Condominiums in Tandang Sora, Quezon City (sorry I forgot the exact name of the establishment). They were immediately very nice and warm to me despite that I met his relatives firsthand the day before the celebration where I was also invited by his family to celebrate his younger sister’s birthday. ^_^
I’m glad my face-up tools worked better than before. The BB cream I use (which serves as my working foundation on most days) matches my skin tone now. :) For those reading, use products with lesser SPF to avoid looking ghastly in photos.
Credit goes to their relatives’ Canon EOS 550D and 18-55 mm kitlens for the photos. I just grabbed these pictures and adjusted them the best I could, so pardon the quality of the photos since they were pre-resized. It was also a new acquisition for them so they do not know yet how to adjust camera settings. I felt shy to tinker with the camera settings but at least I shared them bits of what I know about photography. :D

Started the evening with this lovely bunch of people: Natasha (Edward’s little sis), Ahtsi Therese (his older sis), Edward (my loveliest love) and Kuya Jasper (Ahtsi’s partner). Natasha’s partner, Michael, already traveled back to the province on the 24th, so he was not able to be with us. But I presume that space was for him. Someday, we hope to be complete. Actually this is new since oftentimes I’m the one missed. *U*

Then people started coming in. Joining us now are the mother figures who are so remarkable for their love towards family. :D It’s Tita Heidi (Edward’s aunt) and Tita Thess (his mom in the far right of the picture).

Another cozy photo op with the same cool people. :)

Then his dad, Tito Edward and lola Nica came in too. Her smile is so sweet. :”>
I totes love this picture. Hihi. <3

This one too! :) How we wish Natasha was in the photo too.

These lovely kids, Chelsea (9) and Chanelle (4) graced us a dance number! They’re so pretty-cute! They are Tito Jerome (Tito Edward’s younger brother) and Tita Heidi’s children. Their family came all the way from London for a vacation here in the Philippines. Will be missing them since their family will be flying back to UK on the 29th. See you guys again, someday. They really are bright and keen kids for their age. It was great meeting them. :)
I think we didn’t have a photo with Tito Jerome since he was downstairs, entertaining other guests. ^_^
Alright, on to photos of us. :D

This is enough to make me enthusiastic about us. I love him so much! :”>

Inseparable and indestructible— a flower of us. <3
Sorry for the awful look. I admittedly gained weight. Sue that evil two-week PMS. I’m just not at my best during progesterone phase. Edward looks lovely everyday, though. *U*

And yes, I’m loving you so much, darling, forever! :)
Left brain: I am the left brain. I am a scientist. A mathematician. I love the familiar. I categorize. I am accurate. Linear. Analytical. Strategic. I am practical. Always in control. A master of words and language. Realistic. I calculate equations and play with numbers. I am order. I am logic. I know exactly who I am.
Right brain: I am the right brain. I am creativity. A free spirit. I am passion. Yearning. Sensuality. I am the sound of roaring laughter. I am taste. The feeling of sand beneath bare feat. I am movement. Vivid colors. I am the urge to paint on an empty canvas. I am boundless imagination. Art. Poetry. I sense. I feel. I am everything I wanted to be.
I’m middle brained with a little shift to the right, so I have the best of both worlds. :) I know, at the same time, I feel. Though that makes me indecisive, one of my worst traits. :p
